Don't waste my f%#$ing time

This guy wants to buy my 98 Acura CL..I spoke to him on the phone like 3 times. Each time he kept saying don't sell it I really want to buy it. When I see you I will buy it. Each time I also said I want 6300, nothing less. So I go there..he drives it for like 20 minutes...drives to his brother's house for him to see it. We drive back-by now I've spent an hour and some with him...they say nothing bad about the car-all smiles etc...then he says all I have is 5500. He keeps trying to get me down, though he's the worst haggler in the world and I ofcourse, stay at 6300.

An hour and a half later...I'm home..and I have not sold my car. I hate when people waste my fucking time.

Yes, indeed! When I sold my last car, I told everybody to come find my place - I did not drive anywhere at all.

My car has a few problems..so I didn't want them to know where I live...when they buy it they'll realize that they've been had...and can do nothign about it.

lol...

They're not major problems. It's only a vent that came out it's socket, rattling in the dash, back and center console, and the rubber around the door is coming off.

Ah!

Well, then, I guess you gotta deal with the tire-kickers! And their negotiation games!

so basically you did not sell your car because you wanted $800 more.... you really dont want to sell the car do you?

if it were like a 1500-2000 difference i would understand....but $800 if you really wanted to sell the car i think you should have taken it

You made mistake.

The first instance he offered you less then what you already told him was a firm offer. You should have simply " i told you over the phone 6300 firm, you knew this, and now you bring me out and waste my time, im out" and proceeded to leave.

He'd either have let you go, or said wait and played ball.

Dont sit and play his silly games, control the whole situation.

I got a call a half hour later. Now he's giving me 6100. Lets see how it works out, as I have two other people interested in the car.

dude tell his ass 6300 FIRM not a fuckin penny less. If hes willing to do 6100 then he lied about only having 5500 therefor make him chalk up the 200 bucks

You could act like there's a lot of people who want to come see it.. he has no way of verifying any of this stuff. You know, the old "act now! won't last!" routine.

After what he's done to you.. I wouldn't have any problem doing that.

Sold my 97 3.0 for 13,900CDN ! The buyer did not even test drive or START the engine. He's lucky I am an honest person! Low ball offers I completely ignored, wait for a serious buyer and the CL will sell itself.
