Does the V2 get anoying after a while?

Can you hear it even if you drive slowly? Is there a loud hiss at idle like other intakes? Can you hear it on the freeway? I'm scared I'm gonna buy it and have it drive me crazy

I have it on my second gen CL and it's annoying at first but then you get used to it. Took me like a week and it doesn't seem to bug me. But then when you have your friends ride with you the first thing they'll probably say is wth is that humming noise.

Hmm...funny cause everyone else says it's a great sound when they first get one. Great post...makes me have second thoughts, but I at least get the opinion of someone who didn't like the sound at first. I remember that humming in my del Sol and Civic, but I was thinking maybe it won't bother me since it has more sound deadening.

oh i did it with my own two hands cause i didn't want to go through paying a person installing it for me. Plus i had some fun installing it. Just needed a lot of elbow grease because of the fact the bolts were tight on there like there's no tomorrow. That's where my socket wrench with a metal pipe comes in which makes the job a lot easier.

Paying someone to install an intake would be like throwing away money. It is a very simple mod that can be installed in about 1 hour by someone that knows very little about car engines.

I'm so tired of people being pussies and being scared of the V2.......have you seen anyone post with problems?

EVERY intake makes noise...deal with it

it makes the most power of any intake made for our cars......don't cheat yourself or your CL

Racersky's 2nd gen. V2 sounds just like mine and I have a 3.0

I don't think .2 liters makes much difference in sound for the V2

kspekCLS.....

Do u have JUST an intake on ur CL?? Or do u have exhaust too? Cuz if thats what it sounds like with just the V2, that is beastly! Every time i watch/listen to some of these clips of Magnaflow exhaust and V2 intakes, it just makes me want to go and blow all my money immediately, haha...

If your worried about the sound being annoying... just don't floor the gas. My friend has the v2 in his 97 accord and i don't notice it much when he drives normal.

Yeah, they are really model specific, so I doubt the prelude one will fit. You should sell it on ebay and get one for a CL. Hope you didn't pay too much for it. Sorry, dude

I would assume that if it's an intake from a 92-96 s model that it would fit on a 4cyl cl. i think the s model has a f22 motor as well. not 100% sure.
