I got a TL knob off ebay the other day and decided to tackle the install today. I had to remove the whole center console and glovebox to get the stupid chrome ring out. I put the knob on and thought it was alittle higher than stock plus i didnt know if i liked the boot and how to get it to stay there so i reassembled with the old knob. I plan on having my shifter cut down and getting an adapter so i guess i'll figure out how to fix it than
What do you guys think of it and how can i get the boot to stay there? If i figure out a way i think i might get the burlwood knob


The whole center piece was out i just slide it back in so you could see the knob

Hey man looks awesome. I put a CL-S knob in mine and it looks killer and i get a good grip on it. Yea, that plastic ring is a bitch eh? It's worth it thou, looks killer! Good Work!

u can fit type s knob ? on 1st gn 5 speed ? ................which one did you use ? auto or 6 speed knob? was it hard to fit ?

The auto knob should fit since the TL/CL knobs are the same and the TL one fits

knob looks good patrick, good choice. The boot looks a bit funny like it is, lookin all uncircumcised and all What i did was put a hose clamp on underneath the leather and that worked out well.
