i ordered my 180 amp alternator and i got it for 179 plus 15 shipped. i would like if someone would write a good description on what i need to take the old one out and put the new one in. do i need to take the fan out? just the fan shroud? i need sockets and what else? and where do i get the 4 gauge wire, at a stereo shop? let me know

It shouldn't be that difficult, it looks like the hardest part will be removing the radiator shroud. Ask Dustbuster he replaced his and is full of knowledge.
