do we need our second cat?

i recently bought a used exhaust it came with the canister and the pipe to go over the axle

if i were to of purchased this new and whole it would have came with the second cat already connected ( I THINK ) ?

so if i want to do the exhaust correctly since i dont have the second cat : i have to purchase a new one ( prolly high flow) and do the custom 2.5 inch piping back from that ??

this sound correct ?

what you are talking about is a resonrator.

there are some things such as pre-cats, and other things like that, but the CL only came with one catalytic converter.

just put the axle-back on. exhaust makes little/no difference on the CL's.

MaCe u have a 2.3 right? go with the 2.25 inch piping... ur going to lose to much back pressure with the 2.5

my piping is full cat back so from the cat, back it is 2.25, resonator is also 2.25 an aftermarket one magnaflow performance resonator... sounds nice.

so it goes custom then resonator then custom then the muffler.
