Dim Headlights

I have really dangerously dim headlights on my 97 3.0 CL both sides about the same. Any suggestions????? I have cleaned the outside of the lenz's of all oxidation and they now look brand new. Do I need new light bulbs?

There is a good chance the bulbs melted (mine did, see below). A new set should be much better, and the 9005s should be even brighter.

Put some 9006 sylvania silverstars in there and they are much brighter. I was worried about putting 9005's in there because I do not need any more tickets.... My passenger side looked like proaudio's as it looks like the original idiot touched both bulbs. Ill keep you updated as to how long they last

It happens with noone touching the bulb - our cars lights eat bulbs up. I think they have poor ventilation.
