I've got an OBX short shift adapter - it was about 1/2 the price of a DC. It installed w/ no problems. It cut the shifter throw down by about 3 inches, but it's a little notchy thru the gears - I don't know if all short shift adapters are like that or not. I added Red Line synthetic transmission lube last weekend and noticed that the shifts are a bit smoother.

i have a cosmo short shift adapter. it works pretty well... shortens the throw, but not the length. i'm thinking of cutting it shorter. i also have no problems shifting to any gear... in fact, shifting was better than stock to first gear.

hmm on this guys auction for the 4bidden shifter it saids can go into 4th gen accord which means it can go into our CL's? hmmm would you think this is better than putting in the stock 4th gen prelude shifter??? I mean if the 4th gen prelude is using a 4bidden shifter as a shortshifter... then using the 4bidden short shifter in the CL would mean like SUPER short shifts?
also now the PSPEC saids it fits on 4th gen accords too?

There's only so much you can do to our cable actuated shifters... there's an accord guy who has a website with some pretty good DIY instructions for shortening your shifter. I haven't done it, but here's the site: http://asiandisco.basementproduction...er/index.shtml
I followed his instructions when I installed my springs/struts and header and they were pretty good.
