Custom Center Console

I am planning on creating a custom fiberglass center console to hold my cd player, vafc, and clock, warning flashers. I am planning on using my stock console and then adding modifications from there. The only problem I see down the road is how the cd player can sit securely in there. Then, when I get it securely fit, I need to be able to remove it. I wonder if I could get a cage for the cd player (like most cars have with the little keys you slip in to pull the cd player out) that it would fit the bose cd player. My goal it to have cut the black ring so that only the top pops in and out, have the vafc underneath that (the VAFC will use the double sided tape to secure into a perfectly fit indention and the cord will fit inside the indention and be hidden) then have the cd player underneath that. It may sound weird to you guys, but If I can get the dimensions perfect, and the CD player to fit, I think it will work!

I made measurements today, I dont know how to show you my designs, I decided to make a custom install of the VAFC in the center vents (VAFC IN CENTER and mold the vents on the side, sounds tricky but actually easy when you know fiberglass) and then have the Cd player and mold a s2000 starter underneath it (all you need to do is go buy PVC pipe the size of the started, take the compartment underneath the cd player out, rip off the top, and cut off the back end. Secure the PVC pipe and cover the pipe and compartment in cloth. You can change this to be specific contours. Then proceed your fiberglassing process.) You can also make custom 2 1/8 gauge pods this way as well. i will show pics asap
