Crank Pulley

Would it hurt my car to change out just the crank pulley

i wouldn't see any reason why...i mean its just lighter...the ur crank pulley is the same size as stock, just weighs a shit load less....but why not do a full pulley set?...oh and the crank pulley is mofo itch to get off....

This been beaten to death. Lots of people say it is bad, Lots of people say it is ok. The weight is to reduce the vibration to the engine so it doesn't mess up the internals of the engine. Arguement is that every car is different, so it hard to tell what applies to wat.

i believe the last word that i heard was that it was ok because our car does not have a harmonic balancer...or somethin to that effect...search for some posts on it...i did before i got my pulley set and theres many...you'll have to make yer own decision on this one...bottom line is many people have a crank pulley and have not reported problems (except for i believe some 2nd gen), no forst gen that i know of tho...hope that helped

the reason for not getting a pulley kit is cause I don't want a pulley set for the alt cause I heard that causes problems but thats all I have heard

has caused 0 prob for me but i did upgrade to a 180 amp alt at the same time
