Cool little mod I found...

The other week I was behind a fire truck which had LED tail lights... when the brakes were applied the brake lights strobed quickly and went steady, really draws your attention!
Now, I wanted the same thing for my third brake light because I already have an LED cluster mounted in there. It would also work great with a spoiler LED brake light.

I found this and decided to give it a try.

Its a cool little unit (which is the size of a honda keyless remote), which closely replicates what I saw on the truck. When the power is applied it makes the light strobe quickly in 3 sets of 3 quick flashes and then goes steady. I tried to make a small video of it, but it flashes so fast its hard to tell what its really doing in the video. Plus I dont know where to host a video.

Thought I'd share this with everyone, especially for people that have been rear-ended!

hmm, seems like it would be kind of annoying, and might get you in trouble with police maybe .

Hook it up to your stock spoiler light and then I'll let you know if I care.

All of the new cars that I have seen have it. Its for the center brake lamp. It blinks 3 times then goes solid. Its a safety light. Its made to draw attention so that the person driving behind you sees that you are braking.... Its not illegal, its not a "looks" mod. Its a safety mod...

i actually saw this this mod on a latest Mailbu the other day for the first time. it want LED and it was connected to his brake light, also it was blinking as fast as a signal light for like 5 sec. at first i thought that was kinda wierd...why is this guy tapping his break for. then i realise that his car does that and he doest catches people attention. but kinda weird having the 2 rear brake light flashing.....i like the idea of the 3rd light flashing fast and short. its a safety mod...i dont think it'll be illegal.
