Conversion Harness for Swap...

Ok, I am trying to buy a conversion harness so that my mechanic can complete the swap. I have a 97 2.2 Acura CL and I recently bought a JDM F22B1 94-97 Motor. I am not sure if I need the OBD2-OBD1B or OBD2-OBD1A... if anyone knows please post.

Don't want to get the wrong one because it cost's money and time. So if I have an OBD1 F22B motor and my car is ODB2 I need that harness?

yes that harness is the one that you need. i assume your running the obd1 ecu? which probably came with the swap. you will need this harness to connect your new obd1 harness to your car which is obd 2. help at all?

Umm, actually i thought the ecu was what the car had in it.... I dont know much about cars. I guess its an obd1 ecu if the engine is obd1 but my car is obd2.

The whole problem was that my car would try to read for a crankshaft sensor that wasnt in the same spot on the new motor which imo is the obd1... and the sensor is in the distributor

If it didn't come with an ecu, then your car has the obd2 ecu

Any way you can just extend the wires from the crank position center, and not have to worry about the wiring harnesses or ecu's?

Definite Answer

Ok, this is the last thread I will start on this topic. I need to order my harness tonight but I still do not know the harness I need. For a OBD2A ECU and an OBD1 engine, I will need this harness.... http://www.boomslang.us/obd1to2.htm correct?
