Cocoa's new rims...

lol, I have no idea how to photochop, but I did a quicky in paint. Once I get the rims in, I'll decide how aggressive the flares really have to be. I dont want anything that stands out too much. Just something nice and subtle.

For those of you that don't know, I never posted this pic to begin with. I believe it was Daniel (playahata) that had this pic, and wrote all that in ms paint and posted it a few years back. I do know how to spell my own name, lol.
And to answer your question 97xghost, I'll be using these rims for the track if that's what you're asking. If you're asking what tires, then it will either be: Toyo RA1's, Kuhmo V710's, Advan A005, or the Nitto NT01's. I havent really decided yet. I have hook up with the Nitto and Toyo's though.
These are my test rims btw. I bought these to see how the offset fits with the flares, see if I have any rubbing issues with the width of the tires, and to see if I get enough grip since our cars are kind of heavy. If I decide I need a slightly wider rim, then I'll go with the rim I almost bought last night. The Volk CE28N's in a 17x8.5 (they have it in our bolt pattern). Or go with the 5 lug conversion and get the Volk GTU's (not available in our bolt pattern).
We'll see how these turn out...
Btw, did I answer your question 97xghost?

Smaller? I need smaller side walls, if I go with smaller rims with short sidewalls it would look way to funny. Drag = smaller rims with soft side walls on tires. Road racing = your choice of rim size, but usually bigger than stock with hard side walls on tires.

DAMNIT! They are on back order because they dont carry those in that bolt pattern in stock. They are ordering them from Japan and it will take 60-90 days to receive. That SUCKS! I better get these before the meet on the 30th of June...

Hey Cocoa, if you want lightweight wheels and the ordered ones don't get there in time, look into these PacerSport Wheels . They are very light (13 ~ 16 lb each), forged and they look good!

Man, I just got done unbolting everything to change my clutch. One of the bolts would not come off for the life of it. And then I remembered, righty tighty, lefty loosy. I had it mixed up because when I went under the car, and the direction changed on me, lol. Silly me...
Only thing holding my tranny now is my tranny mount and 2 jacks. I'll take pics this weekend for you guys.
