Dude, tell me about it. I've been playing the waiting game with this car for years now. I've driven it a total of 1 month in the past 25 months.

Shitty pics, and I think I can go a bit lower without sacrificing my suspension geometry too much.

the engine doesnt fit flush under the hood, and he has fender flares to fit the wheels.

The hood is not bent. There is a part of the hood where you can see from the engine hitting it during WOT. I believe my headlights are part of the problem as I didn't use all the bolts to bolt them down and now they point upwards a bit, thus having the hood sit on them making it sit higher. But in either case, my engine does hit the hood during WOT.

What you see in the rear are the fender flares which you can see in the front as well. I can take another shot if you'd like to see why I need them. I wanted to widen the wheel base, and did so with an aggressive offset.

I only put them on for that shot. They've been sitting in my car for months with the tires. I took them right back off and put them back in the car, lol. I was thinking today that I never posted pics with the new 40mm sidewalls. I know in the past I took pics of one with my test tire which had a 45mm sidewall that I didn't like.

For looks, yes. But a cornered balanced setup wont have the slammed look unless you have double wishbone suspension.

Cornered balanced just means the same amount of weight is being put on each corner of the car by adjusting the suspension accordinly (it transfers the weight from one end to another by changing the ride height). This will make the car look funny for some. It may have a 1 inch gap in the front driver side, while having a 1 1/2 inch gap in the front passenger side. And the same can go for the rear. It's an example, but it's to give you an idea of what's being done when you get a car cornered balanced. Also keep in mind that your negative camber turns into positive camber during hard cornering if the lower control arms are flared upright due to the slammed look.

So again, it looks great, but unless it's double wishbone suspension, it's something to think about. I don't know the answer to how low you can go on this car before having the effects I mentioned, but it's something a tuning shop can measure for you. I was told by another member that tracks his CL that you can actually go pretty low on this car based on what was said to him by the shop that measured it for him. I personally would feel better having it done anyways knowing regardless.

I forgot to mention, be sure if you do have it corner balanced, have it done with you in the car.
