To be honest, I never considered speed as a reason to buy my CL. If I was looking for speed, I would have bought another car. I bought it for the luxury and dependability.

With time, I worked on making it faster.
THANK YOU! About Time It Was Said! My Point Exactly!

Doesn't seem like there is an awfull lot to these cars to make them weigh that much... Hmmm?

The automatic, sunroof, power everything, leather and the v6 might have a thing or two to do with it...

Yes, Ovbiously, but they are just so little. I thing my Camaro doesn't weigh much more than that if at all. You know what I mean?

Your Camaro is about ~3500lbs. The 3.0CL is 3219lbs.

fuck that!

thats a bunch of bull shit. my friend has a wrx with a bunch of bolt-ons and he still pulls on me like a mug! anyway he raced a 98' accord coupe V6 and he pulled on him easily, on top of all that i know of a 98' neon RT and a 86' corolla GTS that pulled on a 98' accord coupe V6. i'm pretty sure a 98' accord coupe V6 is much lighter than a 98' 3.0 CL. on top of all that i have a 2.3 CL 5speed with just bolt-ons that can pull/keep up with any 98' V6 Accord/CL.

:whocares: the CL isnt a race car. It was never meant to be fast.

Well i think the 3.0 would be faster if we had a tranny that could transfer the power better. Most of our power is lost in the tranny. At least if we had a stronger tranny, we could keep up with the newer stock cars.

Who knows if its gonna hold out?? If it does, and your destin to keep the CL i'd say its worth it. No actual dyno's were done on a stock or modded car yet. Who knows what the drivetrain loss is with the new tranny.

Its been done. Only in a 6th gen av6. Some parts are a retrofit, but it be worth it if you plan on keeping the car. It also mite be cheaper then buying the "bulletproof" tranny if your handy with a wrench.

I was referring to selling the 3.0, and buying a CL-S6.
