Clear Bumper Lenses

I just ordered a pair of clear bumper lenses.

Now I was just wondering, how do you switch these out?

And is this something I can do quickly here @ college with minimal amount of tools, or should I wait till winter break and do this in my garage.

Thanx ahead.

All you need is a screwdriver. Check your manual and you'll see detailed instructions there.

its easy. first you need to remove your headlights. there are a total of 5 screws holding them in. they are almost impossible to get at, but keep trying. then the front bumper cover needs to be pulled off. after you get that out, box it up with the new lights and ship it to HOnda in japan. tell them you want them to install them. shipping via fedex to japan on that bumper runs about $1100. once you get your bumper back in 9 weeks, put it back on and replace the headlights. good luck.

Very easy to do. Just a screw driver and about 10 mins. Yes, you heard me 10 mins. Simple and pain free. Now you can look like all the other boys and girls.

OK...here's a funny story.

www.procarparts.com sells them for about $45

But then I went to Yahoo Shopping and found them for $30.95 from the same company!

Shipping was $9.95, but still a pretty decent price.

Bad thing about this is...I just went back and tried to find them again, but I think they found the error and corrected the price.

You can still find them all day long on Yahoo for $39.95.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the appeal with the clear bumper lense (besides looking different)?

I'm trying to stick with only red and white colors on my car (with the exception to the foglights). The orange throws it off. So I decided to get clear ones to match up the front so it doesn't look so awkward with the red emblems.

Whats the appeal with Fake HID lights and indiglo gauges? Just personal taste. I for one like the clears gives the car a matching look up front

Honestly, just trying to find out if there's a benefit from the lenses, e.g.: better lighting, etc. Not questioning anyone's taste.

Why the fake HID lights? About $400-$500 cheaper [although real HID to come]!

Indiglo guages? They look different, and there's better lighting. It's nice to change the color once in a while (helps my eye sight when driving long distances to change the colors!) I do most of my driving at night.

LOL!! What is even funnier is that there are people who would actually believe you! You could make serious $$$.
