CL vs Z28

I have searched forever on multiple sites and can not find that video of that cl racing the z28. I think I watched it a few years ago before I had my car but can someone post a link to where an existing video is?

They are rated around 300 hp, but they do more like 340. I am probably gonna test drive a z28, or ss this summer. You can hear his clutch, or him missin a shift though...You can hear him missin second and third now that I listen again. But half the race is the driver.

Yes, def an old time favorite. For those of you that didnt know fastvtccl, he was pushing roughly 254hp on a 125 shot with fuel problems on the dyno. He was the one that inspired me to go with the 125 shot.

Actually, the 93-97 Camaro Z28's are pushing 275 hp and 325 ft-lbs of torque. But the 98-02 Z28's are pushing 310 hp and 335 ft-lbs of torque. In this case, the race was with a 1994 Z28, so he was only pushing 275 hp assuming that he's stock. But yeah you're right, he couldn't drive that car for shit. And make sure you test drive a 98-02 SS, those things are quick....320 hp and 345 ft-lbs of torque = lots of fun.

Haha yeah, he was making up a bunch of lame ass excuses....he just couldn't accept the fact that he not only lost to a fast CL, but that he also can't drive for shit. As far as weight goes, it depends on what you think is heavy. Generally, 93-97 Camaro Z28's weigh roughly 3400 pounds. But the 98-02 Z28's weigh anywhere between roughly 3300 - 3400 pounds depending on the year, which isn't much heavier than a 3200 pound 1st gen 3.0 CL. But 2.X CL's weigh roughly 3000 pounds, which is light compared to the 3.0 CL. Z28's are definately not slow regardless of how much they weigh. As with any car, it really depends on how well a person can drive the car. Just my

A buddy of mine has an Automatic 99 Z28 with some bolt-ons and 150 shot of nitrous on the stock block, and he's running consistent 11.45's on the 1/4 mile. Those Camaros/Firebirds don't need many mods to be dipping into the 11's as long as the driver can actually drive.

Note: I meant to add this part in the post above but I couldn't edit it since the 5 minute time limit expired for editing, lol.

Hahaha yeah, the T-Tops BS was by far the best excuse. I actually used to own a 1994 Z28 with T-Tops, and both the T-Top panels probably weighed roughly 15 pounds combined. LOL, 15 pounds is definately not going to make a difference in a race like that. That guy was just a sore loser/bitch.

You have a Trans Am? TA's are sweet cars, I've always wanted a WS6 or a Firehawk. What year is it and what have you done to it?

I would take the 76 TA model over the 84 TA model any day of the week.
