So details, what's up? Was it from a roll? If so, what mph to what mph?

It was the SL model obviously, so by how many car lengths?

What do you have done to your car? Do you have a sig?

i have to disagree the only difference between the sl and the base was the leather seats and the stereo it had the same amount of power.

maybe it was just the 2 buttons, one made the suspension firmer and the other changes settings in the ecu for more perfomance. i think it adj air/fuel.

Both base and the SL run about the same times. High 15s for the manual, low-mid 16s for the auto. The manual would be a good race with a 3.0CL, a 2.x 5sp would still be go to 60.

The VR-4 went from mid 14s to mid 13s during the years. Should smoke a NA first gen any way you look at it. Good luck finding a stock one too.

for the time being that i had my vr4, it never gave me problems....oh and the SL model and the base model dont have the same power...the base was like 186 and the SL is 222. something like that...pretty sure the base was SOHC and the SL was DOHC.

It was a roll at from 50 to 125. We were playin with each other & I passed him & he got back next to me & passed me so I got neck to him & looked at him & then I floored it & he nailed his at the same time. I probably had about a half of a car on him. My cl is stock. Its a 98 2.3. auto tranny.

a9c8uCrLa, is your car totally stock, if so, I know from 100 to 125 your car took a while to get there, especially if your stock. My car runs strong as hell with the little mods I have done to it, and I do beat a lot of things top end, but from 100 to 125-130, it's taking a minute to get there, I don't care what anyone says about that. And about Mitusu's, I had a 93 Eclipse with 130,000 miles on it, burned a little oil but the car was like a rock!!!! and my boy just imported the only VR4 Twin turbo AWD galant and I will put any amount of money that he rips anyone of our cars a new Ass!!! So like jqturbo said, make sure you are going off facts before you open your month about what you "DON"T KNOW"!! If you got beef about my post you can take it up with me!!! I got a die hard mitsub cat that will proabably see all this talk about mitsub and post so be prepared to back up your opinions. Holla

I dont think Acura's look silly, unless if it is riced out with crap. I did not base my opinion on word of mouth. I have experienced driving in my friends GSX. It was a fun to drive, although it his car was falling apart. I am glad that you love your Mitsubishi. I respect you for that.

What does this kid drive, 3KGT? Unless it's a VR4, might as well race a brick wall.

I like the VR4's They're pretty quick for a stock car. I've race 2 on the highway with a 75-shot. I beat one and hung with the other.

Usually, when racing any car on the highway, (if they've already started in front of me), I just hang behind them and see if I can keep up, or see if I'm pulling on them. I can't afford to get another ticket!

Trust me call me what u wish but we can compare dyno sheets. net racer thats cute, i will refrain from name callin cause its beneath me. Speakin of which what do you have done to your CL? I probrably forgot more then you ever knew about your own car...hmm

2003 mazda speed protege:

0-60 - 7.38

1/4 mile - 15.85 @ 92 MPH

1998 acura cl 3.0:

0-60 - 7.84

1/4 mile - 16.20 @ 88.80

its about half a second faster then my car on 0-60..

and 35 seconds faster on the 1/4 mile..

Thanks for the props on my ride! Your friend's car was nice too!...auto or not!

As for the MazdaSpeed, they are not THAT fast stock, but with mods, they can be real fast! Any factory turbo has plenty of potential!

No, you right, Acura's don't look silly cause if that was the case, I wouldn't have picked out my girl's Ack for her!

Just didn't appreciate the comment about Mitsu's when they ALL are not like that! Mine has also been through hell and back, and we're goin' again! It runs like a champ and I'm about to upgrade the turbo, so it should haul w/in the next month once it's all tuned! Thanks for the respect. And I am understanding and agree that there are ALOT of Mitsushitty's out there!...just not all of 'em!

When you quote someone how do you get their name up above their quote ? Do you have to type it yourself.
