To answer your question up top buddy, a CL type S engine can fit not problem with the right amount of money. Hell, you could drop an NSX engine with the riight amount of cash. The tranny is much better option in my opinion, b/c it makes the car more fun to drive b/c it would then me a V6 stick!, throw on some NOS, intake exhaust, and 40 type R badges and you will be really fast!

i could understand if this board was full of interesting topics but its not. its always slow and its not like the search function is of any great use, whenever i use it i find like one or two posts and they usualy offer little or no help on the subject. I don't understqand why everyone has to be such dicks to the newbies. a lot of people are new to the BB scene and aren't aware there is a search function. If someone askss a question i try to be helpfull, even if i have answered it before. Not everyone is a jerk here.

You know I sometimes glance at other boards like the M5 forum and those guys are all super nice and super supportive. They dont tell eachother to shut the fuck up they dont diss new people for having repeat questions, its like a true broterhood of car owners.

Maybe its cause they all older and more mature then lots of young punks on here who now have an acura so they think they are the bomb diggity or mr. know it all or something.

Jesus H. Christ chill the fuck out quit being a little bitches and help out fellow CL owners without being little turds. And like said earlier in this thread if you dont want to answer then dont, just dont be ass instead.

I do have to admit, questions like this do begin to get repetitive. And if you use the serch button, you will also get answers to your questions faster. So it is to the advantage of noobs to use the search button.

On the other hand, since he has already asked the question, it would be pointless not to answer it and just say that they need to use the search button.

I have heard of one person doing the swap, but the car was stolen. And a person by the name of Hoffhiness did a cls 6 spd tranny into the 3.0 cl, but he has all but dissapeared.

I do have one comment. Show some respect to the veteans of A-CL, a lot of us have more experience in things than most other people (not saying that I am one of them). It would be best if we can ALL keep the naasty comments to ourselves.

On the other hand, it does make the board more interesting.

It's not the whole board that bitches in every thread. Check out the car talk forum for example..although you will still get the "use the search" comment.

Anyways, I remember the most recent guy having a whole lot of trouble getting the tranny to fit...then there was an issue with the computer I think? If you have time to leave your car in the shop for a long while to wait and have the swap go in, then by all means do it! I think a h22 swap is going to go much more easily because there have already been a few done.

if you are going to do the swap and spend the money do it all the way. dont get a h22 too many have already been done. Plus, why spend so much money for 50 horses when you can get 115 hp instead, plus a six speed tranny. my

hahahaha grow up little boy. post count doesnt mean anything. i've been on this forum for a while just reading and observing. I didnt post much cuz i didnt have to. all my questions(intake, gauges, exhaust, brakes, suspension, maintainence, racing technique...etc) were mentioned before by other members and i just followed their advice.

and baka_t, are you planning on buying the Type-S engine and putting it in?

1. I think the reason people are so damn bitchy on this board is cause our cars look pimp but they are so damn slow that we get fustrated. =/

2. I think people do the h22 because could you imagine tryin to turbo that big 3.2 in that small compartment?... seems like space would be a problem. And if you have that much money to do the 3.2 you better get yourself an H22a type -s it has 223 HORSES STOCK just like the regular cl non s-type (i think its 225), but you can do a very small cheap turbo setup and smoke any fool that was dumb enough to do the 3.2 conversion. Plus the h22 is lighter and is built to take boost a lot better (up to 700 hp without sleeving).

1. so what if a couple of people have done the H22. i dont see eveyone jumping ship and selling off their F series motors becuase they just picked up a H22a. the comment seems preety baseless to me.

2. if you have a J30...... you're stuck with it, unless you are willing to fork out lots of money for a swap.

3. you're not going to find any cheap J32 + 6spd. you could buy 2 H22's for the price of one type - s motor + trans.

4. the lucky few that have the income and testicular fortitude to swap the H22 into their CL's know that there is a large aftermarket of parts available. much more than the J or F series motors. (the people with really big balls boost their F series motors, the insane ones boost their H series)

but like i said before.... if you have a 3.0 CL..... you're preety much stuck with the slushbox.

EDIT: oh yeah... and if you people cant talk without flaming, maybe you need to have a time-out.

I think our problem is not enough guys spend time in this forum talking about non 1st gen topics, so they get bored with the same topics....go visit the Ramblings forum, or post in Car Talk...

Got Rice just needs to get rid of his Post MCAT blues Stop bitching about the search function chi-chi man :P Noobies, we welcome your questions...but at the same time if someone suggests using the search function, don't take it as a bitch-slap.

1genCL, maybe we need a post-whoring thread, just so these guys can let their "frustrations" out (and up our post counts)

dude what are you talking about? 700HP w/o sleeving? HAHAHAHAHAH

and anyways, the 3.2 would be able to handle alot more boost for longer periods then the prelude. Those blocks are strong as all hell! Also the torque it has blows the h22a away, and torque is what you feel.

To correct dulux... the 2nd gen 3.2 is 260 hp doesn't matter if it is a type s or not.. type s is suspension and honestly has nothing to do with the motor.....
