it looks like a quiet CAI should be your next part-- i've talked to some people and they all seem like they want some.. on this board a lot of the old farts (i'm a young fart) want the performance but the non-ricey sound.. IMO

btw i've been making turbo manifolds lately.. i'll try to get some nice pics within the next few weeks.. and if anyones interested i'll take a few orders for them... currently i'm working on a twin turbo h22a manifold for a friend..

whats a throttle body and what does it do, how much horsepower should be expected, and whats a port matched intake manifold and the HP on that

Yeah, what do those parts do?
I just paid off my car and my warranty expired... I'm finally going to be able to save money for performance parts and not have to worry about jeopardizing my warranty. Hopefully by next spring I'll have a hooked up CL.

well i am going to give in retard terms (for my own enjoyment dont take personal)
intake manifold is what is bolted to the head that the injectors goin and pas that comes the throttle body and your groovy AEM CAI connects to that and the perf parts will create more tork and hp abroad the RPM range i am sure

Seriously though, these parts allow for even more air flow to your engine a la intake, headers, etc.
We all know the best way to get raw power(w/out nos) is to get more air flowing to your main engine components. That's why everyone's first mod is usually an intake, it makes a big difference.
These parts make the most out of your engine power and help it reach it's true potential.

I've been wanting to get somewhere in ATL where there's a dyno, but I haven't had the part installed on my car yet. I told them(KMS) that I wanted to do a dyno to prove the power, so they said they'll get with on that this week. I know how you guys feel about power and I'll make sure to get you those numbers.

Rob have you guys thought about maybe making a set of true sway bars for our 3.0's? The comptechs dont fit and the accords that do fit, their bushings are different and they keep wearing out I think if we use them. Any thoughts on this? Maybe something to the comptech standard just that it fits for us?

HP Gains. . .
I just got off the phone with the tech and he gave me some good numbers.
For the both the manifold and the throttle body he says expect anywhere from a 5-8 hp gain each.
When coupled with other mods, like an intake, the car should act like a whole new ride!

my point being that a quiet intake is in demand.. comptech's icebox is the proof.. IMO.. comptech made a quiet intake but its hella expensive.. if you could make a cheaper one.. it would be nice
also, i think the comptech one doesnt completely fit our CL, it has to have some mods made to it... and i htink weapon R might be working on a box for us .. not sure tho :-/

the idea for icebox wasnt to be quiet..it was to conceal the filter from the hot engine bay by covering a box over it to only allow the cold air from your wheel well...i think the box, by accident made it quieter.....thats all

HP gains range from 5-8 and it'll cost ya $500, and worth every penny.
