The CL is gone.

so after trying to sell the car, then deciding to keep it, and then deciding to sell it again only to keep it, last night the car finally got traded in on someting else.
traded for a 328is w/ 38k on the odo. the BMW is really, really, really fun to drive.

the CL was a good car tho.. well built, fun to abuse, but it needed lots of stuff to make run right... timing belt, water pump, brakes, rotors, new struts. the dealer did give me 3500 for a 97 2.2 base with 5spd and 110k on the odo.

i'll try to post some pics later.

and, no.. im not leaving the mother forum

I had a Subaru dealer offering me 8K this past summer for my 97 3.0 on a WRX that I guess he really wanted to move...

i agree.... the car had an oil leak also.... and idled at 2500rpm constantly after i took the CAI off, oh and a new drivers side window regulator.

it's going to wholesale anyway.

about 75K miles. I think the guy really wanted to move the car (previous year's stock). I loved the WRX and the way it drove, but the interior and overall comfort was pretty pitiful. My girl's ass is used to heated leather and the WRX just felt like a step backward.

i wonder how much they'll give me for my 97 3.0 prem. it has under <50k miles.

i actually got a letter from the local dealership saying that they want my car and is will to pay a whooping $250 more than the trade in price. since i have no $$$ for a new car, i just left it alone.

What year Bimmer did you get? I'm looking at a 01-02 330 Ci. I drove a couple with the sport package and those bad boys ride stiff, yet smooth.

I don't really care for the E36 Bimmers. I only like the E46's (00-04). They're more rounded and sporty looking.

they're a bit heavier tho, and the steering is toned down some. but its a bigger car that is more up to date. so it's kind of a trade-off.

i got this one because it was in my budget, and low mileage is always nice becuase i really "drive" my cars.

I woulda paid 12K cash for a 99 CL3.0 w only 40K on it. In AZ, that CL could of sold for 13K outa da paper. Trading in is never good. Always sell yourself! There's always people like me wanting to skip the dealer for a better deal.
