Chrome piece

What's the deal with that chrome piece in the corner? Can it be painted to match the rest of the housing? Or better yet just body color?

dizzam, whose sexy ass headlight is that?

and it isnt really chrome, or that noticeable. Its part of the lense so its kind of hard to paint cause you take take it off.

this is a good time to ask, but cant you just use a heat gun if you have one, rather than baking your headlight, i know you still need to bake the piece after you paint it, but there's something that makes me nervous about putting my brand new headlights in the oven

I think it would look real good if you painted that part black along with the rest of the headlight. I'm surprized noone has done this yet.
