My check engine light came on yesterday and it has ~80k miles on it. I have noticed that the there is skip or delay once in awhile as it has been happening more frequent as of late. My question is its probably a air sensor or something like this. I am wondering if anyone knows about this or if you have had this problem. I don't really feel like getting ripped off by the garages. The car is a 99 2.3cl. Any help would be appreciated. I think they will have to put on the computer to see what sensor went bad but you know how it is.

 

probably egr valve. The exhaust gas recirculation valve has a recall on it. IT gets clogged with shit. DO a search on how to read the mil. There is a green connector under the passenger dash, unplug it and jumper the two connectors, the check engine light will flash with the correct code. Long equals the tens digit, short equals ones. Just do a search for the codes and what they mean. It will probably come up insufficient exhaust gas flow. We have a recall free work!!!
