I have a 99 2.3 5 speed while driving it today I noticed the check engine light was on and now the engine cant go over 4k on the tach before it starts to bog out. Prior to 4 k its alright but once it gets there the engine starts to stall out like it does when it gets to redline. Anyone experience this problem before? Know whats the cause???

 

Have you checked the trouble codes on the computer?
