After changing my rotors my check light came one. I was just wondering that could anything tip off the check engine light by replacing the rotors?

 

VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor)? The only sensor that comes to mind that could trip it.

Can anyone tell me where the VSS is on a 98 CL, MT, 2.3? I just bought the damn part, have been all over this site and others but I have yet to get a clear picture of exactly where it's located on the car. Seems easy enough to change out...if I could find it.

 

Have the code read at an auto parts store. You can be throwing parts at it and not fix the problem. The only part near your rotors are the abs sensors. If you damaged one I would think your ABS light would come on. Let us know what happens....

yea; but a ABS sensor which you are referring to wouldn't turn the CEL light on.. Code would be helpful..
