this morning on the way to work i noticed my check engine light had come on. I havent noticed any sounds or anything and the temp gage isnt rising. After work I was going to get some food and now the check engine light is flashing and it wont stop.... any ideas?

Cylinder missfire is what I've been told. If the idle is jumping then that's it.

take your shit to autozone. They will plug in the obd computer and tell you what it iis...for free

yes the idle is jumping. How do u fix a cylinder misfire? any ideas of cost?

also... is it hurting anything to drive it like that?

It COULD hurt I think. I'm not quite sure. Have you messed around with your car at all lately? If you messed with your vacuum lines, maybe you have some in the wrong places.

or your knock sensor could be broken or disconnected. or you could have a bad cap and rotor, or clogged fuel injector, or clogged fuel filter, pretty much you need a tune up.

I've heard that a flashing CEL means you could damage your engine by running it any further. Check owners manual to verify. It says it in mine.
