check eng light blinks?

Hello i have a 97 cl 2.2 and the check engine light is on and now it blinks every once in a while while i am driving anyone ever experience this?? help please Thanks.

I do. I dont know what it is though - Car runs fine though...

i think somethings intermittantly throwing the code. a connector could be comming undone. things that thro hard codes will stay for a while (bout a week before it goes distinguishes) i.e. egr valve. so its gotto be something stupid. check your gas cap, make sure the rubber o ring inside is ok and it actually gets tight when u put it back on. thats a leading cause for faulty codes.

My engine light was on for about a month. Now it's off. Hopefully it stays off.

Why dont you jumper the OBD plug and check if theres a code stored, or go to an auto parts store and have them plug in with the OBDII scanner? My CEL comes on intermittantly due to a bad primary O2 sensor, usually comes on going down hill, not sure why.

Did that - was just dragging my feet about getting it fixed.
