Changing oil on lowered car

Hey wassup.
Have you guys every try to changing your own oil at home with your lowered cl? Is it safe? Is there some kind of ramp for lowered car?
I have a 97 2.2 with a 2.2 inch drop with a www front lip. So it sits pretty low. Thanks

ever thought of jacking the car up

to get a jack underneath you may need to drive up on 2x4's

I am just hella paranoid about being under a low car with only jacks stands supporting it. One of my homeboys almost died when the just slip from the jack stand. Is there some kind of ramp where you can actually drive on?

well make sure you have the car on a level surface so you don't have to worry about the jackstands falling out. And do a back up use the jack and the jackstands to keep the car up. But also, you may just wanna drive up on a couple blocks of wood

jack stands are fine, I worked under my car all day on jack stands in my carport, and my car was lowered over 2.5 inches.

I have seen ramps for lowered cars. They're really long so the degree of incline is small. I don't know where you can find them though.

I to use jackstands whenever I need to get underneathe the car, but I can understand being paranoid about it too. I'd do what ghander suggestion and use both the jackstands and a jack to be safe.

Use jackstands AND e-brake (that works well). Even in Park or gear there's still a little movement...

Does this mean that you used to change your oil without jacking it up when it was normal height?

It actually makes no difference if the car is lowered or not. When you jack up a car you do it by means of the frame not the suspension so a jacked up normal car will sit 15 inches off the ground while a car that has been dropped will still sit 15 inches off the ground (when using jack & jackstands not a ramp). Get what I mean.

I drive up on a few pieces of wood and try to crawl underneath or just use a jack- whatever I feel like doing that day.

I like being safe so i use two stands, ebrake, stick two pieces of wood on the back to keep it from rolling and stick an old concrete block next to the stand so that if the car slips it will keep the car from crushing me. I know is a little bit too much, but i really like being alive
