I noticed about a week ago that the light that lights up the
center console i.e:

D4
D3
D2
D1
[or whatever its supposed to say next to the automatic shifter]

doens't light up. Can someone help me with how to get to the light? and part number?

 

I had that happen to me a few years ago. Never fixed it. fuck it.

 

dude mine just went on the other day...got me all happy then it shut off like an hour later...whatever fuck it

 

yeah, same thing happened to me...it randomly comes back on whenever it feels like it...i dont know whats up...maybe bad wire connection

 

glad to hear im not the only one...but mine lit back up again...for the time being...same with my ebrake lite

i just did some wiring to hook up my ipod to the back of the stock headunit and noticed once i was done that the shifter lights werent working. must have been me that fuked it up... i went back and double checked if everything was in place, still wont go on.

does anyone know a remedy for this problem? maybe point me in the direction of a DIY i cant seem to find. help is appreciated, thanks.

 

Haha, Mine hasnt worked since I bought my car..... about a month, I didnt noticed it didnt work until like the first two days.

 

The lightbulb for the autoshifter (#74 bulb) can get loose and get a bad connection. Take the bulb out and bend the prongs a bit away from the bulb. The second possibility is that perhaps the bulb itself has just burned out.

MUS, my gas light doesnt come on when I go below 3 gallons left... (trust me, I know when Im below three gallons!)

Broken bulb? Bad wire? What bulb should I buy to replace it if it is broken?

 

same here my gas light never worked since I've had my car no biggie i think I can tell when i need gas but its just annoying
