po401,,recirculation of airflow

the CEL is on, when im driving every now and again the car loses all power and is acting if the key is only turned half way. the lights are on the key light is on. and about a second later its normal. what the hecks going on? im guessing i need a new cat but theres no funky smell or anything.

 

P0401 - EGR insufficient flow

Ignore the part about installing the thermoblock spacers and do this

If that doesn't do it try the EGR valve.

 

There was a recall on the EGR, you should see if you qualify for it. Sounds like you need to clean or replace the EGR
