care for brembo's and PBR pads
So my rotors and pads came in today! got a call from home, cant wait to get there to see!
What i was wondering, what's the life expectancy of the PBR pads and when the time comes to replace, can the rotors be "turned" like normal blanks? or do we need whole new rotors???
I saw a guy at school today who had some rotors and he told me to look out to see if they're "zinc-plated" so they dont rust in certain areas. How can i tell by looking?
Thanks guys

they are not zinc plated because it woudl cost 12 a rotor to do an it wanst good for the group buy. they can be turned once if you have cross drilled and slotted if you got the blanks you can turn as much as is allowable by the rotor. its very important that you break them in properly dont go stopping on the brakes just take it easy.

I opened them up at home tonight and they look sooo fresh and so clean! very nice job....only question i have is how come i got "axxis deluxe organic pads"? I thought we were getting PBR's or metal masters or something metallic? grrr...

you were supose to tell him what pads you wanted, but you got hte right pads if you got the metal masters you would sound like a bus going down the street they would squeak like hell!!! and PBR and AXXIS are the same company. you use the screws off your stock ones.
