Car Security Q's
Besides the obvious new security system in your car, whats another effective way of preventing theft. If someone can direct me towards links to sites with a good alpha lock or another method of preventing car theft, please do. I remember ghost saying he uses the alpha lock and takes out his ecu? is that correct? Any other options? This is really just an open discussion on security measures one can take. Anything is beneficial.
Thanks guys.

well thats pointless then. whats the suggestions to do then? i mean i understand most security things are to simply slow down the process of someone stealing your car cause if someone wants it that bad, they'll get it.
proximity sensors for the alarm, relocating the hood release so nobody can cut your fender and pop your hood(also hoop pin sensor on alarm), those auto brake locks, 2 way pager, hidden fuel cutoff switch. ill think of more later but those are some ideas
might wanna check into installing a cut off switch to your fuel pump so it wouldnt start. but someone could still pull it onto a flat bed. I just installed a 2 way viper with starter kill, shock sensor, a back up battery, a second siren inside the car and a tilt sensor(so if anybody tries to jack it up to steal wheels). Should cover most bases . http://causeforalarm.thecarthing.com/index.html plus this website has some good tips.

be careful what you post b/c u never know who is reading. i would never say what my actual security system is. my last car was taken by a flatbed so that is a real concern. oh yea a gps locator FTW
The alpha lock is a good idea to have, especially if u know how to place it and have more than one. If you place the lock on the inside underneath the car it makes it way less breakable and harder to mess with. An alpha lock saved my friends Magazine featured JDM civic ferio from being stolen as they tried to flatbed his car. It damaged his fender but its better to have a damaged fender than no car.
Example: Alpha lock did this:
to save THIS car:

Also the Multi-lock on your shifter is something that is really solid and almost unbypassable. Its ugly in your car, but it WORKS.

The multilock can work on auto's too. They position it so that it wont move from the parked position unless you unlock it.

thanks ill see if i can check one out before buying it too make sure it works well. it sucks that we have to spend even more money on protecting our cars from thieves after all the other money that was already spent.
