today i put my damaged ciggerette lighter inside of the ciggerette lighter, then my radio shut off. and when i went to put my radar detector back in that did work either. im stumped i have no idea whats going on. this car is starting to really piss me off, my starter is shot i have to pop start the car half the time, my car rattles like its falling apart, and now this. i need some fucking money quick!!!

 

lol...welcome to the club...the car is PERFECT when theres no problems lol ahhhh...check the fuse under the hood... that was the prob for me in my old cl...

 

prob a fuse issue,pissin you off, try not being able to go above 60-70,or no tec,or 4 gears of neutral,maybe an overheat.then your in my world.:wink:

 

yeah you blew the fuse. dont get pissed at the car... your the one that put a damaged lighter in the power plug and blew the fuse. and its a 10 year old car... what do you expect. Stuff breaks. Im curious what the projected lifespan of a car is according to honda. I know jaguar used to say 4-6 year car lifespan was what they planned for for reliability. Chevy has been known to put in parts that wear out after X amount of usages to make them more money on the backside. Shit my buddies brand new Mercedes had the adjustable suspension go out on it 4 miles after he bought it. Then the air suspension broke on his navigator broke as he was driving home from the dealership. Just sayin... shit happens.

 

It's the fuse man, chill. If a blown fuse was all I had to worry about right now i'd be happy as a clam.

There are 4 radio/cig lighter fuses two by the pedals, two under the hood. (2 main and 2 backup one each in the 2 boxes) I blew the one under the hood b4, had the same problem as you, just replace the fuse 15 amp i believe (blue) and that's all you need to do.

That's the one that I blew, that's why i have a box of 50 spare fuses of every size they make in the glovebox, cuz I went without a radio for 2-3 days

yea for over a year. sometimes im not proud of it. but they pay good and the fact that i can get a discount on basically every car manufactuer helps too. but then again everyone asks me for discounts on parts. so that sucks though. i only do it for a few ppl.
