whenever I turn the AC on in my car, it shakes just a little bit and then its fine. If that's what your talking about, It shouldnt be anything.

if its a constant shaking, well...

My 2.2 shakes a little with the ac on, Has as long as I can remeber. The compressor does take a good amount of power to drive, i only figured it natural.

How violent is the shake?

It shakes and idles funny the whole time when the ac is on, so I don't know what's going on. Sometimes I don't even want to turn on the ac even though it's hot as hell cause I thought it would damage the engine or something. Well can someone help me out...

You might want to check your A/C compressor too. If the pulley is sticking it would put more of a strain on your motor thus causing it to shake the whole time. Just a suggestion.

maybe its the idle valve

every time you turn on AC....the idle valve will needs to open a bit more for the increase strain on the engine...if your valve is sticky it may cause engine to shake
