Car got keyed

I was wondering what you all thought about how to fix my car...i saw a post about langka or something like that...it takes the blobs away from the touch up paint...I have a bottle of the Acura touch up paint and I could get some Langka OR I could have my friends dad buff out the key mark...the key mark goes all the way around my car...thanks

that is sounding like a complete paint job, touch up paint wont do it if it is down to the bare metal.

insurance, insurance, insurance. get it looked at. get a new paint job. get it appraised at the most expensive place you know, then take it somewhere that does good work for cheap. use the extra money on a stereo or somthin'

They didn't really key it that bad...i'm positive touch up paint would work or my friends dad could buff it out...its not down to the bare metal...and i don't wanna report to insurance cuz i got a speeding ticket that my parents don't know about just yet

well, i would try buffing it or leaving it be... if you cant report it, then i think leaving it alone will look better than touch up paint.... you'll draw more attention to it!

if you havent reported it yet whos to say that they didnt key every panel down to the metal ?? i'll take a $500 paint job ( or whatever your deductable is ) if you cant scratch up your baby just have a friend do it and just close your eyes!!! screw the insurance company they make enough money !!!

ya my friends lex got keyed on the hood so he decided to key every panel so he could get his whole car painted. I would do that too but my deductible is 1k and i dont feel like paying that right now. but it does need a paint job. damn crappy first gen chipping paint. sucks.

I tried the "touch-up paint" thing, and it made the scratches more noticeable. While it certainly changed the color back to stock, it is very hard to match it perfectly. On a dark colored car (like mine), the touch-up'd areas look terrible. I'll probably get the whole car repainted in the spring.
