CAI Installed!
So I finally got a CAI for my 2.3 over the weekend. Thanks to CLBizno for hooking me up, and pretty much doing the whole install for me. Here are some pics...probably the last pics of his before he trades his in for a Taurus
The CAI sounds great, gains are minimal but nice

yeah it is pretty dark - supposed to be 20%, but I think its closer to 25%. The drainage in downtown ATL is awful, I went through some 6-8 inch puddles the day after installing it - and I've read all the threads about the bypass argument - the CAI was already cut by CLBizno and he threw in the bypass, so I'll get a coupling in the spring if I feel like trying it on without the bypass.
Here's a pic of the tint - this drop is with H&R Sports...not the crappy coilover sleeves I have now

Thanks, I think I'm going to do 25-28%. The legal limit is 35% in TN, but as long as it isn't 5% or you are some ricer with a fartcan, you can push it just a lil.

i hear ya - I drive with my windows down most of the time anyway, unless its raining or too cold. R0dxx, I'll be coming home to Miami in December...I might swing by and check out you and Joop's ride.
anyone heard from Dcsquirm98 recently? After he put in his h22a I thought he was going to turbo it...he hasn't been on in forever

thanks Dennis - wish I was smart and just went with Teins way back in the day...the ride quality of these HP coilover sleeves is awful (but $100 including install was too good to pass up). I'm thinking of switching to sportlines in the Spring, but I want to check out rodxx's car in person (since he has a 2.3 on 18s) to see if I'd be happy with the wheel gap. My H&R sports had a huge wheel gap in the front after the 18s went on (almost 3 fingers)

Hey.....are the 4cyl CAI's less expensive than the V6's? I think they are...but why? There's obivously more tubing and material for the 4cyl then the V6. Looks like you can just cut the end section for the 4cyl to adapt it for the V6...not that anyone would...but I'm just saying.

pretty decent - I don't think they are aimed perfectly, but since they are 9006s, no ones flashing me. Once I decide what to do about my crappy ride quality (ie GC coilovers or Sportlines) I'll be done with the car for a while. Possibly until turbo'ing the f23
