Which CAI do you use?
I custom made my own
I started off with a Ractive (regular intake) then took the bottom piece off of a weapon R Intake on a Mitsubishi. The weapon R tubing I cut so it would go down into my wheel well. I had to do that, so I could make room for the Nitrous Management unit to fit behind it. Shit came out pretty good.

That engine bay looks great! Very cleean. Did you do a Dyno test or time comparison after you installed the AEM? What kind of performance increase did you see?

I went with the weapon R CAI...I got it in red and when it came in i was surprised to see that it matched my paint perfectly. Looks awesome! In case you were wondering, my car is the Inza Red Pearl. I love it!!
dont ever go with foam filters. 1. They look gay 2. They suck 3. You can't clean them well 4. the K&N style you can clean - which is the one that comes with Injen and also AEM 5. AEM pipes dont require maintainence to keep them nice and shiney unlike the cheap generic ones :-p
Research? How much research can really go into a pipe that extends closer to the ground to suck up cold air? Its not like its rocket science........or even engineering for that matter. I have an AEM because it came with the K&N filter which is pretty expensive by itself.
Research is about how long the pipe should be as well as how big around and other things someone without knowlage might not think of. Its called enginering. Its about being right for a particular engine.
