i dont understand. All this reduction for little gain if any. So your saying that if i gut my car and slap racing seats in it, coupled with my almost 190 hps and 250 tuned turbo, im going to notice a difference ? How much does all that shit in our car weigh ? ( the seats, spare, etc )

All together a lot, every little bit adds up. Specially power seat if u have one.

ignore the signs, and go around the back. There are plenty of tight turns once you get down in there.

weight reduction also improves handlling of the car.

not always true...you could throw off the balance of the car. but weight reduction for drag...yes it will make it better.

Most of the weight taken off will be from the front anyways. The rear didn't lose all that much weight to begin with. On top of that, with the right suspension set up, you can gain outta the weight reduction. Dark IS, is going to the meet this Saturday...you can argue with us there He's the one that helped with the spring install on your car....I think it was your car, I forget....done like 4 CL's...

But I do get what your trying to say. What you want in a car, is a 50/50 weight distribution, but that isn't always attainable. So you compensate with the right tuning of the suspension and so on.....

He was probably bored at work....plus I had told him I started this thread while I was at work the other day. He not longer has the IS300. He has an Evo. So I guess that makes him an Evo guy, lol.....him and my other friend which I'm sure you've met will be at the meet tomorrow. My other friend is bringing his Evo too.

IS guy = Shaneal
other friend = Mauricio (not sure how to spell)

My friends were dogging me when I said I wouldnt get em just because of the color green, but yea, I admit, they are the shit. But you can get a sparco one for about 100 bucks....I'm gonna go with that unless I grow some balls and allow for any other color in my car aside from black and red....

Takata pwns all .....

I like how Takata harnesses are designed and put together. If you take a look at it, the material and hardware looks "solid" compared to other harnesses. The green is pimp :p

I'd say go with Recaro. The Sparco seats I've sat on, were neh.

Is there an AutoBac out in the NY area? It's like Toys R Us for car freaks. It's huge like best buy with nothing but car parts. Just wondering because you can get the harnesses there too if you like. the Sparco ones go for $100, 4 point.

damnz...........well I heard the muscle car scene is huge out in NY. I'll do some research and try and find a reputable shop out there, there's bound to be one. I never go to them, but just in case, it's nice to have one you can trust going to.
