Hey all,

This is kind of a dumb question, why when you turn the defrost button to defrost the windshield that the A/C says on...wouldn't it make sense not to be using the A/C when your using the fan to blow heat to defrost the window...it comes on all the time and you have to manually turn the A/C off so that it says off in the little display, what's up with that?

 

thats not just a defroster, it's a defogger too... your windshield clears best when you blow dehumified air onto it. if you want only heat to melt ice, you're just going to have to manually turn off the AC and crank up the temp... hope this helps

 

yeah i dont get ice down here in florida, i get my windows all steamed up on the inside all the time tho and thats what i use that button for.
