you let all your freon out? did it freeze something? you can go to the dealer to get it recharged or call around and see what shops will recharge freon.

Don't go to the dealer and waste a lot of money. You can recharge the system by going to an autoparts store and getting a recharge kit, they aren't expensize and pretty straigt forward. I don't know which type of freon our AC system uses but someone at the parts store should know.

all model car 94 and below use R12 unless it was converted and u will need a license to buy that and it'll run around $18 a can. our car use the R34 which anybody can buy it and they run about $2-3 a can. if u let it all out then u probably wanna put like 3 cans. the kit isnt that expensive also. all u have to do is screw in the hose from the can to the ur AC line and turn the switch. hope that help.

But you have to do it correctly. Don't just fill it. You need to vacum and clear out the water vapor and gas before filling it. I am sure u can do a google on it and find lots of dos and don't about this.

i run an HVAC company and if you didn't vacum the lines, your system is gonna be in trouble. Plan on buying a new compressor soon. When the lines are completely empty, contaminents get it because the system is not hermedically sealed anymore. Just my knowledge, and whoever said go to an A/C company they will save you money, your right.
