Bumper issues (there are pictures)

So like a year ago i rear ended an old guy in a brand new caddy. After i regurgetated my heart back out of my stomach and got home to inspect the damage I find this. Well needless to say i never fixed it. I only hit the dude at like 5 mph, and it was right in the corner of my car.. but it was enough to fuck up my bumper.

A while back when i did my black housing is half assed inspected it to see what could be the matter but didnt really go into it cuz i thought that removing the bumper and putting it back on would fix it. It didnt.

Let me know what you guys think could be wrong. From my minor inspection it didnt appear to have done any frame/unibody damage.
Its not really that bad, just enough to get on my nerves everytime i wash this shit!
My hood is slightly off center, why?

bumper mounts, they probably got bent aft and down, shouldnt be that hard to fix em yourself if you have a vise, unless they're plastic, then just order....either that or your bumper got warped, but i bet its the mounts

i bought a couple cars with painted pin stripes...made those bad boys dissapear with some rubbing compound, polishing compound and a good waxing. It takes a lot of scrubbing but the compound takes removes the paint, atleast everytime i have done it.

warning it will leave a little discoloration mark from where you scrub it..so thats why you have to wax it and buff those marks out..

If you like it tho..i guess its really not worth the hassle

On our CL's it's a metal bumpber bracket. I bought the car like that, my bumper is all out of wack b/c of the metal bracket under neath I have yet bothered to fix it yet but I can agree with you about it getting on your nerves.

^^ i know. I debadged it the minute i got it home from the dealership. You can actually still see the shadow up close. But you cant noticed it unless you are really looking for it.

I can order the new bumper bracket. Thats an easy fix. But why is my hood slightly off center. Thats the part i am not understanding. I looked at the front part of the frame when i had it all torn apart, but i couldnt see anything.

Unless you can see something that i couldnt.

My car's hood is off centered too. For me theres a bigger gap on the right hand than the left. The only thing I could think of is our hood stays. Mine still closes fine but I have to slam it kinda hard. One of my stays are a little off, probably from whatever the previous owner hit but if thats not it, I don't know what it is either.

but then again I don't really care about this car, it's just my beater.

Dont need anything from stuck up haters Maybe well be lucky and your mommy will give you the keys to her Lexus soon and you can sell the CL to someone who will appreciate it and actually deserve it

Look- Sorry to hear about your Mom, my apologies, etc, etc.- but as you can see most people on this forum love their cl's , myself included. So its probly not a good idea to come on new to the forum and call your car a beater Even if you are a good lookin chick, still not cool.

You just may as well insert your foot in your mouth now!

If she wants to call her car a beater, more power to her. Daily driver for lack of a better term.... Maybe she has a hooked up hatch that she dont like driving everyday and wants a little comfort.

See you took it the wrong way

You see i was dumb and didnt get a car fax before I bought the car. Dont wanna go into the reasons. I found out that the left side of the car had been repainted. this is how i found out..

I went to my car one day and said to myself. Im gonna take these nasty taped on pin stripes off. So i started up front on the drivers side. Got that all off. Then i got to the trunk. Started peeling one off. Oh look, there are painted on ones under the taped ones, FUCK. So i had to repinstripe the whole car. NOW, the only painted on ones are on the trunk and they are nasty, they are 2 different shades of blue. But luckily they are ontop of the clearcloat.
