bottoming out

My car is lowered and I'm having some problems with bottoming out. would this because I'm using stock Struts and coworkers? would this not happen when I get my KYB struts?
thanks

it'll proably still happen, maybe not as bad. i have sportlines and kyb's and my shit hits the upper arms on the inside top of the wheel well. nothing too bad just beacuase of how low it is there's not enough room for suspension travel

you're lowered you're going to bottom out, stock shocks don't help though

nah, camber kit won't help bottoming out, a camber kit and a good alignment will help you get more life out of the tires. kinda f'ed on the bottoming out on a lowerd car unless you can find a way to make more room in the wheel well, some civic guys cut the tops out of the wheel wells right above the upper control arm. i have the adjustable upper ball joint and the way they're made their a little tall than stock and then lowering takes away the room on top of the arm. might have better luck with a adjustable upper control arms insteatd of the adj. BJ's. the upper arms slide out where mounted and elimante the adj.BJ making better use of the available space(proably will still bottom out but gives you just a cunt hair more clearance inbtween)

You can cut a small section of the plastic inner fender off to make some room for the control arm, then hammer in the metal fender a bit as well. Worked for me.

Neither struts nor a camber kit will help you with bottoming out really. Struts a little bit, but if you're low, you just gotta learn how to drive it. It's all about the angles you take going in/out of stuff. And if you know you're going to bottom out, look for another exit.

Man, nothing's worse than dragging the cusco lower strut brace, that metal sound on pavement just sounds terrible

To the OP, just get some of those KGB AYX or whatever the hell there called, and put them on the stiffesed setting. It will help but bottoming out will still occur. That's one of the many reasons why I might not lower.

I do atleast once a week. The entrances to gas stations, restaurants, driveways, etc are terrible here.
