blown seal on 6.5"

i searched for hours. the forum, google, everywhere.

i blew the seal on my kicker 6.5 and dont know what kind of glue to use to keep it all together, or if theres some special technique. i already tried e6000 and quick set epoxy, neither was successful, and trust me, i put plenty on. so what im wondering is, what kind of glue/adhesive should i really use? should i take the cone completely off and just re seal the whole thing? advice please.

Go to Ebay and look for a cheap resurround kit, does not matter wich speaker it is for, and it will come with the right clue. Kits can be found pretty cheaply. I know caus eI had to put new surrounds on my old home JBL L100T3's. I could almost swear it was elmers wood glue in a new bottle?

Try this site. I have replaced many surrounds with success. Follow their instructions on how to measure the speaker's cone diameter so the correct kit can be ordered. http://www.simplyspeakers.com/

its not the foam thats broken. nothings wrong with the foam. when i say the seal, i mean like the seal between the cone and the foam. it isnt sealed. like half the glue is just gone.
