is there any way to put a blow off valve..or something like that into an auto trans 98 2.3 cl. i just love the sound of it. can anyone help?

this was posted a while back by another member.. try it out.. i cancelled my order cause i didnt think it would fit on my OEM exhaust.. if you have like a 3 inch pipe.. go for it.

 

i donno...i doubt it cuz the blowoff valve is what lets the excess ait outta the turbo...(i think...if im correct...i donno much about turbos) But yea, they do sound soo sweet!! Ive got a friend who just got an 2004 WRX STI....OMG! its soo sweet and the damn thing, its blowoff valve...i swear you can hear it a block away...i was parked at school and i heard him commin down the street one night. all i heard was vrrrooommmmm psssssssssss vrrroooommmmm pssssssssssss vvrrroooommmmm pssssssssss......it was sooo cool!!! the thing is sooooo loud! its sweet....but yea, i doubt you can hook up one on a auto....besides, if people hear it, they (1) will be afarid of what u have under the hood...or (2) tell u to prove it and when u pop the hood to see a stock 4cyl....they all laugh at u....soo i donno...it would sound cool, but i donno....i'd be afarid id get put on the spot...

I'm not sure if the 2.3s suck enough air, but you can hear the 3.0s release some pressure (abet prob not even .5psi) when you juice it and let off. I'm sure you could modify a blow-off valve by changing the spring so that it would release at a low pressure. Prob be fairly quiet tho. Oh well...

Just go by a turbocharged car if you want it so bad.
