Hi acurazine, this is my first post here. I JUST bought a black/black 1998 3.0. I've been looking at the pictures here and I don't think I've seen too many CL's with black headlight housing or black bumper light housing. I was thinking about doing both...

Is there a reason why not many people go for this mod? does it look bad?

 

Obviously you haven't searched because a bunch of people have done this mod.

 

 

Personally I don't think blackhousings on a black CL look very good cuz it makes them look like raccoon eyes. But I do love my smoked corners I'm one of the few members on here that has them

 

i like black housing on black cars. kinda blends the lights in since they stand out so much in OEM form. but i wish i had ambered my corners

 

It's not an impossible mod to accomplish for sure, it's just risky.

 

unless you buy the ebay lights!

BlackAck has smoked corners, see the pics above. I don't know if anyone installed the eBay black housings, the pics above is a Photoshop if I remember correctly.

yep, they're photoshopped. but they're not badly priced right now, under $200 before shipping.

i wouldnt buy em. i think the corner piece is gross. plus its a hell of a lot cheaper to do it yourself. and you will get to spend some time with your car haha.

 

I have the smoke turn signals, I got mine off ebay and they definitely make the car look slick.
