I'm looking at getting an AEM CAI, but i'm not too sure how difficult the installation is. In other words, what is the most difficult part of installing it? Any help is appreciated!
If you can use a wrench and a screw driver, you can install a CAI. It will take less than 1 hour for you if you don't dick around. It really isnt hard at all. The hardest part for me was removing the stock resonator near the fender well, behind the bumper light. Although i have a 3.0, the 2.2 can't be much harder, even if it is.
The hardest part of installing the CAI is removing the little tabs from the inner fender well and removing the resonator. If your car is lowered you are going to need to jack it up. It's not hard just time consuming. Once you pop your hood and start working on it you will get it it's easy.
hardest part is removing fender lining. I had trouble with that and just yanked out the resonator.
remember where all the hoses are connected and remember to plug back in the wire harness I forgot that and had some trouble. Other than that... its easy.

ya those little screw type things in teh plastic fender well were rediculous... couldnt just be a regular old bolt/washer set-up.... had to gay it all up... but its really not hard, just dont get frustrated like me if your screws are stripped and the screwdriver wont catch and flip a shit...

lol that kinda defeats the purpose of CAI anyway but if u feel better with it then more power to u... mostly it is a waste of money.

ne0 dont let these amateurs frighten you, the intake is prolly the easiest shit, that is why you see every ricer with an intake.
It is the most basic thing you will ever do and there is no hard part, the fender well comes off, just make sure to put pressure on the screw head to get a good grip. I have never had trouble.
Should take you about 20-30 minutes(45 minutes for the first time). You dont even need directions it is that easy!
Just have a phillips, flat head, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14 mm sockets and you are set to disassemble anything in a honda engine bay

I was talking about this quote...and added those tools.
EDIT: but I will add one more... needle nose pliers for the hose clamps and pulling fuses.

right. ur sacrificing 1-2 crank hp.... so literally ur spending money to lose hp.
has anyone actually had the bypass work for them, or had a situation where they wish they had gotten a bypass because their filter got imersed in water?
