anyone with subs in their trunk?

How did you guys run the cable from the battery to the subs in the trunk? I cant find an opening in the firewall. If you drilled into the firewall, where did you do it?

dont take the rubber plugs out, just poke a hole in them. its as good as running a grommet that way. taking them off could cause rubbing against the metal and one day your entire battery will fry if that power hits the frame! you could even bloe the hood off if your not careful.

If you look up & behind the driver side dash/firewall, you will see a big wire bundle coming in from the engine side of the firewall, poke a hole (or an "X" with an X-acto knife) into the surrounding rubber and you should be able to push the power cable thru.

be careful when u run the wires thru the rubber plugs and make shure u seal them back pretty well. What happened to me was that my AC didnt get cold but my compresser was working fine. After 2 days of diagnostics we found that the harness by the firewall was corroded and dirty because when i ran the cables i didnt seal them up good enough and water got thru the hole and into the harness somehow. The water must come from when u clean under the hood or detail the engine.

judging by the posts and what everyone else did, i guess i ghetto rigged my shiet... hahaha. i didn't drill nuthin, i went through the seat, and under the door sill, then the wire goes up directly into the corner of the fender and hood from the door, and into the battery. the wire doesn't stick out or anything, but i dind't want to screw around and try to drill extra holes in my car. the wire is invisible and stays in place. my car and the wire are both red so it's pretty camoflauged. hope that helps if you dont' wanna do any drilling
