another lowering spring question!! sorry!!

my friend is offering me his 97 prelude lowering springs to me for 25 bucks..

but i told him that only 96-97 accord springs fit the CL.

then he told me that it doesnt matter because its universal springs.. is this true?

i wanna buy it... but.. im kinda scared that i might just waste 25 bucks..

Come on brotha.....gotta pay for quality!

Just be safe and get some nice springs! I got me Eibach's that I'm disputing on keeping since my girlfriend gets irritated when she rides (kind of stiff, shes used to the Lexus type of suspension).

We could discuss something if you want them

Anyway, be safe and don't go for it!

hey legendary...trust me man....if youre gonna pay someone to install, youll be out alot of cash for 2 installs.

if ya do it yourself, and once ya figure out the ride sucks, youll be kicking yourself for having to go through the pain in the ass install AGAIN..

I know money isnt grown on trees, but if youre gonna lower your car, do it right,....good springs, good struts....you dont want your frond end sagging after 3 months and having your tranny pan scraping over every bump in the road

yeah they sell universal springs on ebay like a mofo...........while they do what they say LITERALLy (drop)....they worsen the performance of your suspension. the compression rate is usually not enough to handle the heaviness of the 3.0 b/c most universal applications are made for lightweight 4 cylinders
