So today i went to autozone and bought an air filter and some ngk iridium sparkplugs cuz mine hadnt been changed since i bought the car a loooong time ago and the car was idling weird..i go to replace the filter which was absolutely FILTHY...had all types of shit in it..leaves, mulch, dirt, styrofoam, etc. I go to wipe down the intake area that was under the dirty side of the filter and look down to see a gotdamn old aftermarket HEADLIGHT BULB in the filter pipe left from the previous owner?!?! How the hell could some1 just leave that shit there?! i was absolutely shocked and appauled...glad i finally decided to change the filter. havent installed the sparkplugs yet, but i know they havent been changed either so i hope that might make a bit of difference in performance (has any1 noticed a difference wit the iridium plugs?)

sounds like the previous owner isnt he only lazy one. I mean seriously... mulch and leaves in teh filter? ouch that'ws gotta hurt mileage and stuff.

 

i dont even see how that crap got in their!! the box is enclosed... no way for stuff to get in if you think about it!! looks like a good time for a sri or a cai after finding stit in the TUBE

 

i think the guy prolly had a short ram intake b4 and was changing the bulbs or some shit...i ono but i was shocked as shit...id just get an intake myself but im saving for H22 so no point in getting 1...and i was wondering y my damn gas mileage was so damn low...i was only getting like 285 per tank! hopefully the filter and plugs will change that..any1 have the iridium plugs by the way and if so is there a difference from regular ones?
