aftermarket car alarm question

hey fellas...i got a quick question for yous guys. Will i have to integrate an aftermarket alarm with the factory....or can i just disable the factory one with relative ease? I have been looking into a Clifford alarm...but am always open to other options. What do yous guys have on ya'lls 1st gens...and what were the roundabout price of the systems? any help is appreciated...
BTW..the clifford model is the Matrix RS2...has anybody got any info on this alarm other than what the website says? Thanks in advance...

I got a compustar, I had a whole bunch of trouble with the factory & the Aftermarket... I don't think the people who installed mine disabled the factory alarm. It cost me about $650 installed. Good Luck, they are really cool!!

mines hooked up with my viper 550 esp and the stock. It gets kinda annoying cause i have to unlock the doors before popping the trunk or remote starting my car (with the viper remote), or else the stock alarm is triggered because the doors are still locked. Does anyone know how to disable the stock alarm? Oh well, added securtiy for me i guess.
