bose ohms???

i was wondering how many ohms are the bose 6x9's in the back. are they 2 or 4? someone told me that most bose and infinity systems are 2 ohms and thats why we have the little amp in the cl to convert it. but is it 2 or 4?

thanks

You can always take a multimeter to it on the ohm scale and see what the resistance is.

they are 2 ohms... the amp dosent convert anything, it just powers the speakers, as the headunit only puts out a very low-powered signal. The amp powers the speakers at 2 ohms, so when you hook up aftermarket 4 ohm speakers, they are technically only getting half the power the amp puts out, which isnt a lot to begin with.
